The best choice we can make is to deny ourselves and follow Jesus, whatever the cost.
Seriously following Jesus means letting go of the selfishness in our lives, our private ambitions and visions, and also the fear and insecurity we all feel at times.
Classical themes like discipleship and commitment become the important things when we seek the answer as to what needs to characterise the Church of tomorrow.
As disciples we are carrying out the Great Commission—God’s great salvation plan for the world. We are called to follow Jesus.
How do you pass on the vision of the Church to a young generation? That is the key question concerning the survival and continual growth of the Church. Leadership must always be handed over to a new generation and the young have to be given the preconditions for being able to take over and fulfil the mission of the Church. In this little book I want briefly and in a visionary way to point out the potential and breadth that is inherent in the Church of God. The Body of Christ on earth has not ceased to be significant. On the contrary! The Lord wants to strengthen its influence on the world even more in the future!
